Close ENough to Hear God Breathe by Greg Paul

Review of Close Enough to Hear God Breathe by Greg Paul  supplied free to me by BookSneeze, in exchange for a review of the book.  BookSneeze does not influence the review of this book in any form.

This book takes readers to an understanding of the importance of a relationship with God rather than just church attending.  The writing style is easy to read and flows so that your attention is directed toward hearing what God says to you.  The intimacy with which this book is written brings God forward as a soft place to rest in a troubled time.

As a student of the Bible, I found this book to be extremely helpful in how to answer questions that have been put to me by the women that I serve.  This addition to my library will be used again and again in the future.  Religion and belief are not always connected and this book is written to draw the two together.

I would give this book a 4 start rating.

Max on Life

Reading Max on Life by Max Lucado was different than reading any of his other books so far.  Taking a number of weeks to read these bite-size morsels of knowledge allowed time for contemplation.  Many of the questions asked of Mr Lucado were questions that dwell in many people's minds.  This book is informative and thought-provoking.  The responses give Biblical as well as practical answers and Mr Lucado is successful in making this book enjoyable but not preachy.  A 5 Star book!

Thursday February 10, 2011

The days of late have made me question the Bible Prophecy.  The changes in the seasons and the fact that so many states had snow at once..some of which do not have snow.  The fact that magnetic North is changing course and that airports have to be re-aligned...

The trouble in Egypt...an attempt to reach for democracy? It does bother me that so much of what our country was founded on has been thrown aside..we were founded on Christian values.  Now many feel that being a Christian is something to be ashamed of...I am proud of my faith!  I know that I am a sinner and I am so grateful that I can ask my Father for forgiveness for my weaknesses and faults.
